Meet our team

Jamie Chen

JAMIE CHEN

Physiotherapist

Jamie has been based in our climbing specific Waterloo clinic at 9 Degrees Waterloo since 2023, building strong experience in climbing specific injuries such as fingers, shoulders, wrists, elbows and knees.

Consolidating on her experience as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist since 2016, she now has a very comprehensive and details- oriented approach to successfully help sport climbers and boulderers return to doing what they love.

Jamie’s approach to treatment is to thoroughly identify and correct inefficient movement patterns by restoring joint movement, improving muscular control, and building strength. Jamie also speaks Mandarin fluently, which allows her to support a broader range of clients.

She believes that every active person is an athlete of their own, and the key to maintain that is to know their body and work with it, not against it.
